There is no permanently fixed number of rounds
UAC schedules multiple offer dates throughout the year; institutions choose which rounds their courses participate in. For school-leaver Semester 1 entry, December and January are the key months to watch. Not every course takes part in every round, though.
| Round | Release date | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| December Round 2 | 23 December 2026 | First main ATAR-based round |
| January Round 1 | 8 January 2027 | Check participating courses and vacancies |
| January Round 2 | 21 January 2027 | Places need not remain in every degree |
| February Round 1 / 2 | 4 / 11 February 2027 | Later rounds are not a guarantee that delaying is safe |

Fees are not charged per round
For the published 2026–27 undergraduate cycle, UAC lists A$82 early-bird processing through 30 September 2026 and A$215 standard processing from 1 October to 5 February 2027. You normally pay this to process the application, not again for every later offer round. It is separate from university tuition or enrolment costs.
After an offer
- Retain the acceptance deadline, conditions and enrolment instructions.
- Arrange remaining preferences in genuine order before the next deadline.
- If taking a later offer, check withdrawal and fee deadlines for the earlier enrolment.
